As part of this year's START Education Programme all 300+ school pupils came to Mareel to visit Dinh Q. Lê's incredible installation The Colony.

During their visit they took part in a workshop with Amy and spoke about the theme of this year's project: journeys and places and unexpected sites. The Secondary groups worked collaboratively, with Amy, to create a giant map of Shetland that includes each school's journey to Mareel.

We've taken this work and used it to turn our tables into artwork, in the Upper Cafe Bar at Mareel... this is a taster for the Unexpected Sites exhibition to come in May, where work by all pupils will be collated into a huge installation in the auditorium space.
