Kenny Hunter is an artist, lecturer and Director of Outreach at Edinburgh College of Art. Kenny graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1987 and studied classical sculpture at the British School at Athens. He makes monumental civic sculpture as well as gallery based work and has exhibited at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery (including a bust of Jimmy Reid), the Centre for Contemporary Arts, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Tramway Glasgow, Galerie Scheffel in Germany and at Conner Contemporary Art, Washington, among others in the UK and Internationally. Selected public artworks include: The Unknown, Borgie Forest, Sutherland (2012); iGoat, Spitalfields, London (2010); and Citizen Firefighter, Central Station, Glasgow (2001). Recent exhibitions include A Shout in the Street, Tramway, Glasgow (2008); What am I doing here?, Esbjerg Kunstmuseum, Denmark (2013) and Busan Biennale Sculpture Project, Korea (2013).
