These free, self-paced e-learning courses are designed to support creative practitioners in their professional development. The content has been developed by Shetland Arts in partnership with a range of Shetland based practitioners.
The courses provide information and advice on topics related to working in the creative industries and community arts sectors together with tips and insights from working professionals and links to useful templates and further information.
The e-learning courses are accessible online, and can be completed at your own convenience. You can complete the courses in sequence or dip in and out if you want to find out about a particular subject. You will receive a downloadable completion certificate at the end of each.
Practitioners can enrol with UHI Shetland to gain Upskilling certification at SCQF Level 6. The Upskilling course content is supported by 8 weekly seminars, practical exercises and online assessments. The course is delivered by Shetland Arts staff members. ITA funding of up to £200 can help you pay for learning something new or brushing up your skills. It's for people who have an income of £22,000 a year or less, or who are in receipt of benefits.
