Events Assistants: Bars and Catering

Do you have a passion for great food and drink? Shetland Arts are looking to build our team with a fulltime kitchen assistant, working 12-hour shifts 3 days per week. Duties will include; serving food for breakfast, lunchtime, and evening service, cleaning down the kitchen and completing kitchen paperwork. Previous experience is desireable, but not essential as full training will be provided.

Wellbeing Choir Leader

Closing Date: September 29th 2017 at 12:00pm

We are looking for a new Choir Leader for our Arts & Wellbeing initiative. The Wellbeing Choir promotes emotional and physical health through singing and peer support. This natural voice choir is open to over 16s in the community, and particularly benefits individuals suffering with or recovering from chronic illness, disability, and mental illness.

The Choir Leader will deliver sessions every Tuesday at Mareel or the Lerwick Methodist Church, starting in October 2017 and running until 28th March 2018.

This will include selecting appropriate materials for the sessions, leading the participants in an hour of singing and facilitating a final 30 minutes of refreshments, informal feedback and discussions, including encouraging participants to select future songs.

Applicants will be expected to attend an interview which will include a short audition.

Closing date for applications is: Friday 29th September, midday

Trainee Administrator

Closing Date: September 24th 2017 at 5:00pm

Shetland Arts are looking for a trainee administrator to join our team. Working under the Finance Manager, you will help deliver a professional support and admin
service to all Shetland Arts staff and will be responsible for day-to-day reception, clerical and administrative duties for the whole organisation.
The successful candidate will work under the modern apprenticeship scheme towards an SVQ level 2 or 3 in Business Administration
