Shetland Arts will present The Yves Lambert Trio live at Mareel on Wednesday 11 June.

After 26 years as a member of La Bottine souriante, and having created the Bébert Orchestra in 2004, Yves Lambert, with his partners Olivier Rondeau and Tommy Gauthier, has since 2010 presented a trio with a new sound that offers unusual brilliance and a distinctive personality. The Yves Lambert Trio shows how traditional music continually reinvents itself in the modern context. Music lovers will discover the work of master craftsmen who make traditional music accessible to the wider public.Shetland Arts’ Marketing Officer, Lisa Ward, said: “By revisiting traditional music, the Trio delivers new ideas in unexpected forms while preserving the soul of the music. They are sure to be popular with Shetland audiences.”
Tickets for this concert will go on sale on Wednesday 5 February via Shetland Box Office. Tickets cost £18/16.
