Those of you who have read the article in today’s Shetland Times will be aware that Shetland Arts is proposing to develop the area around Weisdale Mill under the working title of the Westside Cluster.  A financially and environmentally sustainable hub will be established with strong community and tourism elements building on the success of the four star visitor centre at Weisdale Mill.

In autumn 2010 there will be consultation among the artistic and creative community, the local residents and the wider Shetland community who use Bonhoga socially and for education and tourism.  Ideas for the consultation will then be fed into the plans.
