Shetland Arts is sorry to have to announce that Vic Galloway Presents: The Phantom Band, Honeyblood, and The Last on 24th November has been cancelled due to low ticket sales. All of those who have already purchased a ticket for the event can receive a refund from Shetland Box Office in Mareel or Islesburgh.
Lisa Ward, Marketing Officer, said: “We planned this gig with the aim of filling a gap in the market for quality visiting artists performing alongside original local talent. However, sadly and unexpectedly given the amount of requests we’ve had for events of this type in the past, it hasn’t generated the interest we hoped it would. We are keen to hear from music fans in Shetland, particularly young music fans, as to what kind of events they would prefer to see us put on, so we can better meet demand and avoid disappointment in future.”
