The UHI Shetland Student Exhibition opening took place last Friday, and we were thrilled to present two awards in recognition of their hard work.

Our Creative Project Manager, Kathryn Gordon, attended the opening and selected two winners of our prize - the opportunity to have their work exhibited in Mareel.

Millie Wishart will exhibit 'The 2 Contrasting Views from Mary's House', which showcases the process of her work. We love following the arrows and getting an insight to what an artist sees while they're exploring a location. It will be in the Feature Space this Summer.

3rd Year student Susan Linklater will also be exhibiting work in the Upper Cafe Bar this Winter. The beautiful, rich colours in her work will fit in perfectly in the space during those stormier winter days.

We had anticipated presenting one award, but the standard was so high that we just had to choose two. Gaada also presented 2 awards, as did UHI Shetland themselves. We are so excited to see all the potential!
