Love and laughter are in focus at Mareel this spring, with a season of four classic romantic comedies beginning on 16 April.
The films, written and directed by masters of the genre Frank Capra, Richard Curtis, Nora Ephron and Woody Allen, span sixty years of the romcom, from sparkling 1934 Oscar-winner It Happened One Night, starring Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert, to nineties favourites Four Weddings and a Funeral and Sleepless in Seattle, ending with a stunning new digital restoration of Woody Allen’s 1979 masterpiece Manhattan.
