Rock Salt & Nails live

Fiddle Frenzy is Shetland Arts’ annual celebration of the Shetland fiddle tradition. The week of events runs from Sunday to Sunday during the first week in August each year, centred on workshops teaching the distinctive tunes and technique of the Shetland fiddle style. It provides the opportunity to learn the secrets of Shetland Fiddle from a range of experienced tutors, explore the thriving musical traditions of Shetland, and to be part of the Festival Week which is packed with a range of Frenzy Fringe options and Evening Concerts.

Alan Mcleod of Klub Revolution said: “Klub Revolution is delighted to be working in collaboration with Shetland Arts to bring one of Shetland's most successful bands home for a special Frenzy Fringe show at Mareel. Rock, Salt & Nails have consistently proved themselves as a must-see act for over 2 decades, and we're sure that they'll blow the roof off Mareel on their debut show in Shetland's flagship venue.”

Tickets go on sale on Friday 13 June and cost £13. For registered Full and Half Frenzy students taking part in Fiddle Frenzy 2014, tickets cost £11. Booking is via Shetland Box Office at Mareel and/or Islesburgh, over the phone on 01595 745 555, or online at shetlandboxoffice.org and/or mareel.org.
