SHETLAND Arts welcomes audiences to experience award-winning choreographer Fleur Darkin’s new show My Muses Take Care of Me in Mareel on Saturday 18 May, a collaboration between dance artists with French Sculptor and musician, Claire Barbier.

The performance draws on themes of feminine power, a resilience of nature and is expressed through choreography inside beautiful handmade skins of armour. Audiences will be taken on a journey through life, death, love and regeneration with accompanying score and exceptional live music.

The evening doesn’t just end there – audience members are encouraged to stay and join the After Party DJ night in Mareel’s Cafe Bar, allowing the performers to share the trance created in the show and creating a fully immersive experience for attendees.

Tickets for My Muses Take Care of Me cost £10 and are available to purchase online here, in-person at the Box Office in Mareel, or by calling on 01595 745 500 during opening hours of 10am-9pm, Tuesday - Sunday.
