Local songstress Jillian Isbister has been busy over the past year recording and promoting Highland Heartbeat, a TV show in which she co-stars that incorporates Scottish music and scenery, plush production values and an abundance of tartan.

The programme, made for the North American market, boasts some pretty impressive viewing figures having been shown more than 1000 times on various US networks, apparently reaching over 114 million homes.

On the back of the TV shows' success co-producer, co-star and Scottish media mover and shaker Fiona Kennedy put together a stage version which kicks off in Inverness' Eden Court on July 28, before heading to the states for 3 months.

Pundits at the Press & Journal are forecasting that it'll be "as big as Riverdance"; a cultural phenomenon indeed!
