A recent Social Return on Investment Audit supported by the Scottish Government investigating the work Fablevision in Glasgow shows that for every £1 invested in Fablevision, the Government saves almost £14 they would otherwise have had to spend on employability, health care or other “mopping up” services.

Nicola Sturgeon said: “I am impressed with the demonstrable outputs from the projects developed using cultural planning methodology – particularly in my own constituency of Govan where Fablevision is based. This Government is more and more convinced of the value of the approach and is committed to seeing it rolled out across Scotland. This cultural planning course is an excellent vehicle for delivery”

*Cultural Planning is a method to build more attractive communities, improve the lives of local citizens and develop cultural entitlements for all” (Scottish Government draft culture bill, 2007).
