The submissions date for Home Made, Screenplay’s regular showcase of short films made by Shetlanders of all ages and abilities, has been extended to Monday 26 July 2021.

Due to the restrictive conditions in 2020, the festival’s curators are pleased to announce that the deadline will be extended as we ease out of lockdown.

Home Made is open to Shetlanders of all ages (by birth or residency), including those living and studying in the south. All kinds of short film are welcome, but they must be under four minutes long, and be suitable for family viewing. The films will be premiered at Screenplay, which takes place this year from Wednesday 1 to Sunday 5 September.

Once again, Shetland ForWirds will be offering a prize for the most effective use of Shetland dialect.

Home Made is always a festival highlight. It's such a delight to see what crazy and marvellous short films folk have made. Remember to keep them under four minutes though, so we can show as many as we can! (Kathy Hubbard)
