Our February programme is packed with stories to fall for.
From iconic romances perfect for Valentine’s Day, including When Harry Met Sally... and Wuthering Heights, to family-friendly animation with GOAT, there’s something for every kind of film lover.
Whether you’re planning a date night, a family outing, or something a little different, February has you covered.
Oscar nominees Paul Mescal (Aftersun, Hamnet) and Josh O'Connor (Challengers) play star-crossed lovers in this sweeping WWI-era romance.
When Lionel (Mescal) and David (O'Connor) meet over the top of a piano in a Boston college bar, there's an instant spark. One is a talented vocal student, the other a composition major preoccupied with cataloguing rural folk music. Their shared passion for song brings them together, but the onset of WWI tears them apart. Oliver Hermanus's tender, unusual period romance is full of wonderful music, beautifully sung by both actors.
He's about to change the game! From the animation team behind KPop Demon Hunters and Spider-Man: Across the #SpiderVerse, and produced by basketball legend Steph Curry, GOAT is an original action-comedy set in an all-animal world with a voice cast including Gabrielle Union, Nicola Coughlan, Aaron Pierre and Nick Kroll.
A small goat with big dreams, Will (Caleb McLaughlin) is delighted when he gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to join the pros and play roarball, a high-intensity, co-ed, full-contact sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world. Will's new teammates aren't thrilled about having a little goat on their roster, but Will is determined to revolutionise the sport - and prove once and for all that "smalls can ball!"
Enjoy our early preview screenings on Saturday 7 & Sunday 8 February, ahead of GOAT's national release day the following week!

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
In The Fellowship of the Ring, adapted from the first book in J. R. Tolkien's epic masterpiece, meek Hobbit Frodo (Elijah Wood) is awakened from his peaceful life in the shire, and together with eight companions, begins a long and dangerous journey to destroy the powerful One Ring and save Middle-earth from the Dark Lord Sauron.
The second chapter in J. R. Tolkien's epic masterpiece, The Two Towers sees Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Sam (Sean Astin) edge ever closer to Mordor with the help (and hindrance) of shifty Gollum (Andy Serkis). Meanwhile, the divided fellowship makes a stand against Sauron's new ally Saruman (Sir Christopher Lee) and his hordes of Isengard.
The third and final chapter in J. R. Tolkien's epic masterpiece, winner of 11 Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director, The Return of the King sees Gandalf (Sir Ian McKellen) and Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) lead the World of Men against Sauron's (Sir Christopher Lee) army to draw his gaze from Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Sam (Sean Astin) as they make their fateful approach to Mount Doom with the One Ring.
The British Rocky! Featuring heartfelt performances from Amir El-Masry (The Night Manager) and Pierce Brosnan (Bond franchise, Mamma Mia), this tremendously inspiring drama traces the real-life story of legendary British boxing champion Prince Naseem "Naz" Hamed.
Charting his rags-to-riches tale from his humble beginnings in Sheffield to becoming champion of the world and a global sporting icon in the 1990s, Giant is powered by the moving relationship between Naz (El-Masry) and his Irish trainer Brendan Ingle (Brosnan) and the instrumental role that Ingle played in his path to success. With exhilarating and visceral scenes in the ring, coupled with intimate moments behind the curtain, Giant is an uplifting biopic of one of the greatest showmen the boxing world has ever seen.

Formerly a poster boy for LA law enforcement, he oversaw the first conviction using the city's hi-tech, cost-saving justice system, in which AI acts as judge, jury and executioner in one. Now, desperate and grieving, he's in the hot seat facing icy AI Judge Maddox (Ferguson) and has only 90 minutes to prove his innocence - using the city's vast cloud-bank of bodycam and surveillance footage - before robo-justice sends him down for good.

While trying to keep her on the line, they do everything they can to get an ambulance to her, but are hindered by complex rescue protocols. Her name was Hind Rajab. Like Ben Hania's Oscar-nominated Four Daughters (2023), The Voice of Hind Rajab is a striking blend of documentary and fiction, and uses audio from real phone conversations to lay bare the agonising vulnerability and suffering of ordinary people amid horrendous violence.

Oscar-nominee Margot Robbie (Barbie) and Jacob Elordi (Priscilla) star in Oscar-winner Emerald Fennell's (Saltburn) electric reimagining of Emily Brontë's Gothic masterpiece.
On the wild Yorkshire moors, the forbidden passion between Cathy (Robbie) and Heathcliff (Elordi) turns from romantic to intoxicating in an epic tale of lust, love and madness. Backed by striking cinematography, original songs by Charli XCX and supporting turns from Oscar nominee Hong Chau (The Whale), Shazad Latif and Alison Oliver, Fennell promises a provocative, boldly stylised take on a timeless literary classic.
Buster Keaton's impeccable comedy classic is reimagined with R.E.M. 's alt-rock masterpieces Monster (1994) and New Adventures in Hi-Fi (1996) in the sensational new release from Silents Synced, who pair classic silent movies with epic rock music to bring audiences a unique big screen experience.
In this sublime comedy teetering between reality and illusion, Buster Keaton is a film projectionist who dreams of becoming a detective - and uses his (limited) skills to investigate when he's framed by a rival for stealing his girlfriend's father's pocket watch. Effortlessly funny, with deadpan humor, slapstick and hilarious sight gags, plus innovative technical feats and daring stunts, Sherlock Jr. has been hailed Keaton's masterpiece.
Sherlock Jr. is preceded by a special presentation of one of Keaton's classic short films, The Balloonatic (1923), soundtracked by a new composition by renowned Brazilian electronic artist, Amon Tobin.
The recently, tragically departed director Rob Reiner's When Harry Met Sally... set a new standard for romantic comedy. Scripted by Nora Ephron, it stars Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan as Harry Burns and Sally Albright, who years after their first embattled meeting as college graduates, attempt to answer the question: can a man and woman ever be just friends?
One of Reiner's most personal films - Ephron based Harry on his experiences of dating after divorce, and he altered the ending after falling in love with his wife Michelle during production - it's a hilariously funny, romantic and endlessly quotable ("I'll have what she's having"; "Someone's staring at you in personal growth") film with endearing, exuberant performances by Crystal and Ryan (including her iconic fake-it scene in Katz's Delicatessen), who evince real chemistry as Harry and Sally as they gradually realise it's possible, just possible, they might be more than just friends.
This collection of short films from France, Portugal, Germany, Czech Republic and the UK, present stories that are perfectly suited for children aged 7 and above.
Using a wide range of animation techniques, these films explore the different ways curiosity drives our characters forward, learning something about themselves and the world around them: a little girl discovers the universe outside of her phone screen, a robot bee working on a hive on Mars finds out the strange powers of an odd plant, Lola finds a powerful way to communicate with her neurodiverse brother through a hand-made sound piano, a child accompanied by an otter-like creature sets out to find a cure for water shortage, and a mischievous little wolf with an inky nose will get everyone involved in a messy, playful way of life.
Dialogue free and French (with English subtitles).
Join us for a free workshop following the Shorts For Families screening on Sunday 15 February! They'll have the opportunity to use their imagination to draw and create their own characters and stories - and even enter the world of film through our Green Screen! Cinema tickets allow access into the workshop.

Returning to cinemas for the first time in over a decade, Helen Mirren plays Queen Elizabeth II in Stephen Daldry's Olivier and Tony Award-winning hit production of Peter Morgan's play, which subsequently went on to form the basis of his Netflix phenomenon The Crown.

Through these private audiences, we see glimpses of the woman behind the crown and witness the moments that shaped a monarch.

Adopting and training a northern goshawk, she enters into what becomes a profoundly challenging but consoling dynamic with Mabel, the haughty, stubborn, ferocious bird she takes on.
Philippa Lowthorpe's arresting adaptation boasts wonderful footage of its magnificent feathered co-star and a career-best performance from Foy as she reflects on the wilds of grief and the tenacity and indifference of the natural world.
Is this thing on? Will Arnett (Arrested Development) plays a stand-up comedian working through divorce from his wife (Laura Dern - Marriage Story) in actor-director Bradley Cooper's (A Star is Born, Maestro) warm, bittersweet new comedy. Co-written by Arnett and Cooper, it developed out of a conversation Arnett had with British comedian John Bishop about the start of his stand-up career.
As their marriage unravels, Alex (Arnett) seeks to grow in the New York comedy scene while Tess (Dern) confronts the sacrifices she made for their family. Their split is largely amicable, but there are still stresses and strains to navigate as they organise co-parenting, undergo identity shifts, and question whether old love can take a new form. Another tone switch in Cooper's filmmaking career, his follow-up to the finely controlled Maestro finds him on loose, unfussy form, delivering a rueful charmer of a picture about the vicissitudes of middle age.
A group of friends on holiday enter into a primal battle for survival in the wild new ride from Johannes Roberts, the British horror director of shark thriller 47 Metres Down.

Shakespeare's Othello rages to life like never before. Tony Award-winning director Tom Morris's (War Horse, Dr Semmelweis, The Grinning Man) captivating West End production stars David Harewood (Homeland), Toby Jones (Mr Bates vs the Post Office, Detectorists) and Caitlin FitzGerald (Succession, Masters of Sex).
Stylishly designed, backed by music from PJ Harvey, and immaculately performed by Harewood, Jones and Fitzgerald, Shakespeare's classic study of power, jealousy and desire touches on new notes of toxic masculinity. Filmed live at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London especially for the big screen, this is an electrifying and thrillingly contemporary Othello.
