Shetland Arts are delivering another series of Creative Lab workshops at Mareel, starting on Tuesday 14 May!

Come along for a new series of workshop sessions in Acting and Performance with Stephenie Pagulayan - founder and artistic director of the ALICE theatre project, which specialises in creative theatre classes and workshops, she also directs and performs with Islesburgh Drama Group.

The workshops are aimed at absolute beginners who would like to be introduced to acting and performance skills, as well as more experienced performers who may wish to explore some practical techniques to develop their craft. The sessions promise to be a creative space to build confidence with performing to an audience while learning key acting techniques, including basic stage presentations skills as well as how to realistically portray characters.

The Creative Lab will be delivered from Mareel in one block of 4 x 2 hours sessions and is aimed at over 16s.

Stephanie adds “If you’ve been interested in trying theatre but haven’t felt confident to take the leap, or would love the opportunity to explore and develop your acting skills, this is the course for you! We will create a fun, safe learning environment while you learn practical acting techniques. I’m excited to offer this opportunity in collaboration with Shetland Arts and I look forward to seeing you there! If anyone would like to ask questions about the programme, please feel free to get in touch with me on [email protected]

Tickets are available in person from Mareel, by phone on 01595 745500, or online at www.shetlandarts.org
