Read the latest update on Bonhoga's refurbishment, following a visit last week.

Since my last visit, there’s been visible progress: new windows have gone in; the gallery walls are no longer looking quite so bare; and the roof re-tiling is now complete, giving the building a refreshed appearance from the outside.

As a Marketing Officer, building work is certainly not something I would consider to be anywhere near my area of expertise - but I can definitely appreciate the quality of the work being done and how fantastic Bonhoga is going to look when everything is wrapped up. Sharing images of the progress is just as rewarding as being there in person to capture them. We know how special Bonhoga is to the community, and we’re sure many of you are just as eager to see how things are taking shape.

JDC Shetland are doing a marvellous job, and it’s very exciting to see how quickly things are moving forward. The momentum is building, and each visit brings a new layer of progress.

Stay tuned for the next update in July!

Bonhoga's refurbishment is being led by née gibson architects and supported by funding from the Shetland Charitable Trust Capital Grants Scheme.
