SHETLAND Arts looks forward to the upcoming performances of Bodies of Water, presented by BOW Collective, on Thursday 29 May (7:30pm) and Friday 30 May (2pm) in Mareel.

Bodies of Water is a playful, multi-sensory performance experience weaving together movement, choreography, water, objects and sound. We encounter water in our everyday lives - through our bodies and environment. Bodies of Water invites us to immerse ourselves in a unique performance experience, as we explore and celebrate this transformative element that connects all living things.

Underpinning the making of Bodies of Water is a belief that if we can connect to and inhabit the realities of our bodies and experiences, we will relate to and more easily consider our environment, our communities and the challenges that we face.

Initiated by Saffy Setohy in 2018, Bodies of Water has been made collectively by Saffy, Nicolette Macleod, Aya Kobayashi and Joanna Young, bringing together these respective artists’ practices and ongoing research areas. The performances at Mareel will be performed by Saffy and Laura Bradshaw.

Tickets for Bodies of Water cost £13.20 (including 10% booking fee) and are available to purchase online from tickets.shetlandarts.org, in-person at the Box Office in Mareel, or by calling on 01595 745 500 during opening hours of 10am-9pm, Tuesday - Sunday.
