Three products were developed by artists from the 2023 open call.

Jo Chapman - Da Lightsome Buoy Print

Jo is an established site-specific artist working in the public realm on large scale commissions for a variety of sites. She has undertaken projects in the UK, France, India and Ireland. In 2015, she was commissioned by the Pelagic Sculpture Partnership in association with Shetland Arts to make a sculpture to celebrate Shetland’s long association with the pelagic fishing industry, which now sits on the harbour front in Lerwick.

Tenneka Designs - Peerie Shetland Colouring Book

Tenneka's art is quite varied in many ways - her earlier work was more realistic, but her style is ever changing. She is currently experimenting with her art, which is something she believes everyone should try. For now, she is going to keep creating, as she has an ever growing list of ideas to try and work her way through, and she will wait and see where her art takes her!

Jocelyn Naquin - Oysterplant Socks

Jocelyn is a surface designer and maker. Since moving to Shetland in recent years, she has been endlessly inspired by the flora and fauna that inhabit the beautiful islands. She originally started her business 13 years ago by sewing and designing custom items for babies and children. During that time, she fell in love with surface pattern design and now she loves to create artwork for products that are both functional and bring people joy.
