Shetland Arts presents a fabulous pair of tribute acts for the festive season, kicking off with The Dolly Parton Story on the 26 and 27 November, followed by Buddy Holly & The Cricketers on Monday 12 December.

The Dolly Parton Story is an all new Country and Western tribute act featuring Andrea Pattison and the Partoners paying homage to one of the greatest icons of popular music, Dolly Parton. Andrea’s stunning vocals are backed by an all live 4 piece band. All of Dolly’s most celebrated material features in the show, from her early country classics such as “Coat of Many Colours” and “Applejack”, through to the later smash hits such as “Jolene”, “Islands in the Stream”, “I Will Always Love You” and “9 to 5”. Andrea is able to closely mimic Dolly’s unmistakable sound and phrasing, as well as her renowned onstage wit and charm. They will joined by special guest Peter White as Kenny Rogers.

Buddy Holly and the Cricketer’s breath-taking show has rock ’n’ rolled audiences across the globe for more than twenty years, and is guaranteed to have everyone singing along to the music and dancing in the aisles. It stars some of the finest actor-musicians in the UK, and was endorsed as Britain’s most popular Buddy Holly act when the boys guested on BBC One's ‘The One and Only’, hosted by Graham Norton. In this special festive show, Holly’s hits, including That’ll Be the Day, Peggy Sue, Heartbeat and Raining in My Heart, are wrapped up with other contemporary classics and some Christmas crackers in a fast, furious and funny feast of entertainment.

Tickets are available through Shetland Box Office at Mareel & Isleburgh, over the phone on 01595 745555 or online at www.shetlandboxoffice.org
