The Mareel site was a buzz of activity today as the piling contractor arrived on site to begin work. The contractor is estimated to be in Shetland for 3 weeks in which time the bulk of the foundation work for the new building will be completed.
Although there is not much to see in terms of a building just yet, good progress has been made in recent weeks. The starting of the piling work marks a significant step in the construction programme.
