It is a busy end to June at Shetland Arts, with a series of free online gigs as part of a new Live@Lunch series and the return of the ever popular Mareel Film Quiz online.

Freda Leask opens the series on Tuesday 16 June at 1pm. She will be followed by Isaac Webb on Tuesday 23 June at 1pm, with the final gig hosted by Arthur Nicolson on Tuesday 30 June at 1pm. The performances will be broadcast free of charge on Shetland Arts Facebook and Instagram pages and will be available on the Shetland Arts website and YouTube channel afterwards.

Graeme Howell, CEO at Shetland Arts, said, “We want to add value to the growing number of musicians taking their music to a wider audience, by offering an opportunity to further amplify Shetland’s talent. We hope, as we look towards the future, that we can find a way to create a new gig experience which we can broadcast from one of our venues to audiences who may not be able to visit us in person.”

Mareel Film Quiz is also set to make a comeback this month on Tuesday 23 June at 7.15pm. Hosted on Zoom, a maximum of 15 teams will be able to enter the popular event. Entry will be free, but a team ticket needs to be booked in advance through the Shetland Arts box office online.

More details and free tickets for Mareel Film Quiz will be released on Friday 12 June on the Shetland Arts box office online here. Live@Lunch will take place on Shetland Arts Facebook and Instagram pages from Tuesday 16 June.
