It has today (18 May) been announced that the 2012 Olympic Torch will visit Shetland en-route to the Games in London.
The route will include Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh together with Shetland, Orkney and Lewis.
The torch is expected in Shetland on Sunday 10th June, day 23 of the relay.
