Shetland Community Orchestra inaugural AGM on 6th Feb

Shetland Folk Festival 2011 line-up announced

Shetland Folk Festival Society have announced the provisional line-up for this year’s Shetland Folk Festival.

Visiting acts this year include The Wilders, Fred Morrison Trio, Pokey LaFarge & The South City Three, Breabach, Beltaine, L’Angelus, Sver, Oonagh Derby Band, Gerry O’ Connor & Gino Lupari, The Shee, Genticorum, Harald Haugaard Quartet featuring Helene Blum, Chris Newman and Knerten & Co. together with a wealth of local artists.

Dates are confirmed as 28th April to 1st May 2011 in venues throughout Shetland.

In December last year the Shetland Folk Festival won the ‘Event of the Year’ award at the Scot Trad Music Awards.
